Individuals, associations and companies can support Bolzano Danza Festival and help promote the arts in South Tyrol in a number of ways. The festival is a cultural event which breaks down language and cultural barriers to build community. It involves music, design, architecture and the visual arts. EXTRADANZA
Italy’s first large-scale celebration of dance

Inspired by 1km de danse, the innovative format launched in 2022 by the CND – Centre National de la Danse in the city of Pantin (just outside Paris), ExtraDanza is a brand-new project for Italy that transforms the Talvera Meadows in Bolzano into an open-air stage. On Saturday, July 26, starting at 5 p.m., the Talvera meadows will come alive with three performance stations featuring a vibrant mix of artists invited by the Festival (Matteo Sedda and Francesca Santamaria, Chantal Loïal), teachers and participants from the Bolzano Danza workshops organized by the Südtiroler Kulturinstitut, along with dance schools and cultural associations selected through an open call. Together, they will present a rich variety of artistic proposals in a collective celebration of dance as an inclusive and universal language. A free event designed to celebrate dance and social cohesion in public space, ExtraDanza aims to break down cultural barriers and promote the values of accessibility and inclusion, reminding us that dance is—and must be—for everyone.
