Individuals, associations and companies can support Bolzano Danza Festival and help promote the arts in South Tyrol in a number of ways. The festival is a cultural event which breaks down language and cultural barriers to build community. It involves music, design, architecture and the visual arts. When you support the festival, you support culture, integration, sustainability and… beauty!
Workshops
For more than 40 years, Bolzano has transformed every July into a vibrant meeting place for dance enthusiasts from across Italy, the German-speaking countries, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, and even the United States. Participants come together to discover, explore, and deepen their knowledge of a wide range of dance styles while experiencing the work of leading international choreographers.
The faculty of Bolzano Danza includes some of the most respected figures on the international dance scene, selected for their artistic excellence and pedagogical expertise. The programme balances continuity with innovation: alongside long-standing festival collaborators, new teachers join each year, bringing fresh perspectives, ideas, and dance practices. Courses are open to participants of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced dancers. Many classes are accompanied by live music, creating an inspiring atmosphere and a unique learning experience.
Since 2003, the dance programme has been planned and coordinated by the Südtiroler Kulturinstitut. Designed for both amateur and professional dancers, it provides a space for artistic development, learning, and international exchange. Over the years, Bolzano Danza has evolved far beyond a traditional training programme, becoming a unique meeting point where dance is not only practised but also experienced and explored as a cultural art form.
