Individuals, associations and companies can support Bolzano Danza Festival and help promote the arts in South Tyrol in a number of ways. The festival is a cultural event which breaks down language and cultural barriers to build community. It involves music, design, architecture and the visual arts. Mont Ventoux
A journey through our time searching for introspection and respect for nature. Mont Ventoux, the latest piece by Mattia Russo and Antonio de Rosa of Kor’sia, is inspired by Francesco Petrarca’ 1336 letter “Ascent of Mont Ventoux”, that uses the mountain ascent as a metaphor for self-discovery. In this piece which won the FEDORA – VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Dance Prize 2023, the choreography reflects modern life’s struggles and values with nine performers moving in and out of a transparent case designed by Amber Vandenhoeck. Bodies plastically intertwined, struggling and on the move, carry with them the achievements of the past centuries and symbolize a call to change the paradigm on the techno rhythm of Alejandro Da Rocha.
Following the performance there will be a talk with the artists.
