Bolzano Danza 2024 – Thank You
Published on 31.07.2024
A journey both physical and mental into many different worlds
This year’s Bolzano Danza has traveled through theaters, cloisters, parks, squares, and even reached the mountaintops, where fearless dancers conquered the peaks while plunging us into a different dimension. We made our way through the mist following the hypnotic rhythm of the jump rope, and we vibrated together with bodies in motion illuminated by the moon. Layer by layer, we shed our armor, captivated by the sound of the orchestra and a ballet star who transformed into a woman-samurai for one night only. We witnessed a choreography taking its shape only through voices, in a touching alternation of songs and silences. Together we explored what happens when man and nature, music, art, dance, and technology intertwine. We also created moments for the little ones: during a night at the theater, some of them built new friendships, peeked behind the curtain folds, and played among shadows and music.
During these hot summer evenings, we were prompted to reflect on the limits and possibilities of the body and the multifaceted spectrum of human emotions. The Festival created a community that laughed, cried, and exchanged thoughts and ideas: what did we see? How did we feel? Which small detail sparked our curiosity, and what will inhabit our thoughts in the coming days, or perhaps even longer?
All of this, we owe it to the artists who made the Festival unique, the collaborators, the institutions that supported us, the sponsors, the media representatives, and the partners with whom we shared ideas and projects. Thanks to those who brought color and warmth to this very important edition, the culmination of 40 years of dreams and passionate work. Thanks to the audience, the driving force behind every cultural project. Sharing these experiences with you has been an absolute joy.
See you next July!
