Olivier Dubois / Marie-Agnès Gillot / Haydn Orchestra

The restless and always surprising Oliver Dubois returns for the 40th anniversary of the Festival with an exclusive project entitled For Gods Only / Sacre #3. A creation on Igor Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps that closes the trilogy started with the male duo Prêt à Baiser / Sacre #1 (2012) hosted at the 2021 Festival, followed by Mon Élue Noire / Sacre #2 (2014), a solo for African dance legend and Venice Biennale Golden Lion winner Germaine Acogny. The last episode is another solo for a dance icon: the étoile of the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris Marie-Agnès Gillot, alone on stage in the presence of a huge 95-piece Haydn Orchestra conducted by Timothy Redmond and the rhythmic power of Le Sacre du Printemps performed for the occasion in the 1913 debut version at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with a grandiose ensemble.
