Eventspace Fiera di Bolzano (Bolzano Eventspace Expo Centre)

Fiera Bolzano’s new events space was designed by architects Höller & Klotzner, who renovated the original entrance courtyard into an exhibition area. South Tyrol’s largest covered outdoor space, it can hold up to 600 seated or 1,500 standing spectators. With its sleek and elegant lines, the region’s biggest LED wall, a sophisticated lighting system and clear roof featuring air cushions made from ETFE, a high-tech membrane which lets in the light and maintains a comfortable room temperature, this large foyer right in the middle of the exhibition halls is prized by the city for its innovation and sustainability. It’s no coincidence that it has been chosen as a location for Bolzano Danza Festival: this light and airy space inspires exuberant and rhythmic site-specific performances, drawing energy from the proximity to the audience as the artists urge them to share their irresistible delight in moving and dancing.
